A) How to get to Brescia : If you come by plane you can land at the following airports:

 Bus shuttles arrive at the bus station in Via Solferino. To get to the university it is possible to take a public bus or a taxi to get to the university.

 

2) Public transportation system (Train+Bus)

From Milano-Linate it is possible to reach Milan Railway Station (Milano Stazione Centrale) and to take a train to Brescia. ( www.fs-on-line.it for information about detailed time-tables and prices)

  1. The connection between the airport and Milano Stazione Centrale is assured by buses which leave every 30 minutes. A single ticket costs LIT 4,000 (200 Euro) nad the journey takes about 20 minutes.
  2. From Milano Stazione Centrale to Brescia: Brescia is on the Turin-Milan-Venice railway line; A train leaves at about every hour, and the journey take about 1 hour.
  3.  From Brescia railway station to university.

  4. The connection between the airport and Milano Stazione Centrale is assured by buses which leave every 30 minutes. A single ticket costs LIT 13,000 (650 Euro) and the journey takes about 50 minutes. By taxis, from Malpensa to Milano, takes 50 minutes and costs LIT 140,000 (7,000 Euro).
  5. From Milano Stazione Centrale to Brescia: Brescia is on the Turin-Milan-Venice railway line; A train leaves at about every hour, and the journey take about 1 hour.
  6. From Brescia railway station to university.

3) By car

  1. From Milano-Linate drive towars Milano on the A1 and then join the A4. Exit at Brescia-Ovest and follow the indication toward Hospital or Stadium. University is near the these places.
  2. From Milano-Malpensa follow the signs to the A8 Autostrada (Motorway) which goes directly to Milano. Then take the A4 (to Venezia). Exit at Brescia-Ovest and follow the indication toward Hospital or Stadium. University is near the these places.
  3. From Bergamo Orio al Serio drive towards Motorway A4 (to Venezia). Exit at Brescia-Ovest and follow the indication toward Hospital or Stadium. University is near to these places.
  4. From Villafranca Verona drive towards Motorway A4 (to Milan). Exit at Brescia-Ovest and follow the indication toward Hospital or Stadium. University is near to these places.
  5. From Brescia Montichiari drive towards Brescia.

B) How to get to University of Brescia

Buses from Brescia railway station to university

Take either bus route C (to Mompiano) or bus route D (to Villaggio Montini). The bus stop is outside the railway station (200 mt. from Via Solferino).

There is a bus every 10 minutes, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the university. Tickets have to be bought before getting on the bus, and are sold in news-stands and tobacconist’s shops. A single ticket costs LIT 1,500 (less than1 EURO), and has to be validated in the machine on the bus.

Arriving by the C Bus get off in Via Schivardi, while arriving with the D Bus get off in Viale Europa, corner Via Branze.

Taxis from Brescia railway station to university

It is always possible to take a taxi form the railway station to the university, and it costs nearly LIT 20,000 (100 Euro).
